What Are Vacation Rentals and How Do They Differ From Corporate Housing?
It is time to plan a long awaited vacation. You have the location set and your transportation booked so all you need to do now is find accommodation. Obviously, many travellers choose a hotel for convenience and amenities, but in many cases vacation rentals are a more appropriate option. Vacation rentals can provide an interesting and affordable way to enjoy your time away from home while still benefiting from the comforts of home.
What Is Corporate Housing?
While on holiday or a short business trip, hotels are often the most reasonable establishment to stay. They provide all the services one could require, usually with in-house restaurants, and access to local amenities. Yet, the cost of hotels and even the “convenience” can become an issue. Regardless of whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, corporate housing provides a more affordable and homier alternative to hotels.
The Added Benefits of Corporate Travel Credit Cards
Most every agency engages in the practice of allowing more than an average of 13.5 days for a corporate travel customer to pay for tickets issued. If the tickets are issued on a credit card, however, ARC (Airlines Reporting Corporation) does not draft your agency bank account; instead, the airline collects directly from the credit card company. This cash flow benefit is significant in an industry which operates on such a slim profit margin. And there is even more good news! Travel agents can deduct the commission derived from transactions directly from the authorized ARC draft amount. In fact, some agencies whose accounts are nearly 100% credit card do not have their accounts drafted at all; they receive a check every week for the airline commissions earned.
